I honestly don’t even have the words to express how much I loved this book—it might’ve stolen the top spot over book one for me. The emotional depth hit so hard in the best way. These characters are messy, broken, and deeply human, but they never lose sight of each other. What really stood out is how they support and uplift one another without ever becoming dependent. Their love isn’t about fixing each other—it’s about being brave enough to heal alongside someone else. It’s raw and real and absolutely beautiful.

Both characters carry some heavy relationship baggage, and watching them confront those wounds and be honest about their pasts felt incredibly powerful. When they finally open up to one another, it’s such a moving, vulnerable moment—it gave me chills. There’s something about the way Peyton Corinne writes these damaged but lovable characters that just pulls me in completely. Between this book and the first one, I’m officially hooked. Consider me a forever fan—I already can’t wait to dive into more of her stories.

Found myself more frustrated with both of their insecurities keeping them from trusting in each other.

Better than the first book but it still lacks something. Enjoyed the plot but Ro’s character was very annoying to me. She had no backbone and was overall sort of Mary Sue ish. Also it seemed like a reread of the first book just with a different POV from all the shared interactions and was repetitive to read through. The first book, her name was aurora but in this it’s Rosalie which is also inconsistent

I really loved this plot, the characters, and their arcs. There were a lot of heavy emotional situations that were woven together well but I would have liked to see a little more tension development to these moments. While I love that they didn’t cause unnecessary drama for the couple, they still needed to be further discussed.
