i enjoyed this one, sporadic reading but still enjoyable enough that i had a good time when i was reading the book. i like how both freddy and ro had similar yet different issues and complimented each other well with that. i wasn’t as emotionally moved with this one as i was with unsteady, but still a very enjoyable read. i didn’t like the two epilogues at the end, they felt rushed and unnecessary

I was not expecting to like this as much as I did, at all - I loved both of these characters, am totally here for the insecurity and vulnerability in our male hockey star lead, and really enjoyed the way both of their toxic former relationships were portrayed and handled. just enough spice and very little cringe, plenty of tension and longing and will they/wont they/WHEN will they, and a good amount of personal growth separate from each other. just, really sweet, tbh.
