Ugh. I need to collect my thoughts. I knew most people didn't like the ending, but wow I didn't think I'd be so angry lol. Overall I did enjoy this book, Tarryn is one of my favorite authors, and this doesn't change anything. This was super fast paced and always had me on the edge of my seat, but unfortunately, thanks to a lot of reviews on here and bookstagram, I was aware of what trope this was in, making it very easy to guess the ending (don't worry, I won't do that to you). I would still recommend this for any thriller fan. I remember when this was first being released, Tarryn had said she wrote this in mind for a traditional thriller, and has all of the classic tropes. And in that regard, she did a great job!

Ok so I definitely finished this in about 24 hours so that says something. What a RIDE. You think one thing's happening, and then a different thing happens. It's very dark and twisty. I don't want to say too much in fear of giving anything away, but this is a mindfuck of a book and I loved it.

It lost .5 stars because the dialogue in parts was really stilted and awkward, and it can be a little unbelievable in parts. But I really liked this one.

Wow! I've never quite read a book like this, and each time I thought I had things figured out, I was SO WRONG. I was guessing and second-guessing right up until the end.

I really struggled with Thursday's character from the start. She isn't really a likable character even at the beginning, and I had a really difficult time empathizing with her situation. She's in a marriage with Seth, a man who is married to two other women that she knows nothing about, and although she agreed to this because she is so in love with him, she is chafing against this and has become jealous and suspicious. Initially she seems like she has her life together, but she suppresses how she feels and what she thinks to keep her husband happy.

But when she finds something, she travels down the rabbit hole, and realizes that there's a lot she doesn't know about Seth and the life he lives when he isn't without her. Just like the rest of her life, not everything is what it seems. As she finds out more, his secrets begin to unravel, just as her life does too. I was shocked at what was revealed, and found myself hooked. I couldn't stop listening to the audiobook and just had to find out exactly what was going on. And when I found out what happened, I was astonished.

Tarryn Fisher's writing was incredible, and it was so easy to get immersed in the story. The narrator did a great job as Thursday, and she was convincing in her narration. This was everything I could hope for in a thriller, and reminds me of The Silent Patient and The Woman in the Window.
