Is this literary fiction? Is this a thriller?  It’s definitely a psychological thriller that messes with your head.  At times I figured only bad things would happen and then other times I thought if Lucy and Eden could work through their trauma then perhaps all would rest easy.

I heard someone say this was better than The Push so of course I had to try it.  The pacing and tension were definitely less than The Push.

I do get a bit frustrated with female protagonists thinking they’re going crazy so the ending is appreciated.

This is pretty dark.

"In this edge-of-your-seat psychological debut, a mother's experience with Vanishing Twin Syndrome triggers disturbing changes in her teenage daughter."

Lucy's daughter, Eden, survives a drowning accident but her recovery shows some remarkable changes as she now states she is Eli... the name of her unborn twin.  Surely nothing can go wrong here, right?

Y'all, I LOVED this premise and while it seemed to run a little bit slow at first, I was curious and slightly hooked to see how this story would unfold.  Unfortunately, towards the last third, it started to stall a bit for me and I found my eyes glazing over a bit.  As someone who reads a ton of thrillers, there was nothing much *new* with this type of story for me to hold on to.  I wanted more answers for Eden/Eli - and wasn't too thrilled with the Epilogue.  Maybe more on the Vanishing Twin Syndrome and the psychological impact within.  There was a bit too much going on at times that felt a bit unnecessary where other parts could've been expounded instead. However, I do think the author has tons of talent and this is a solid debut. While this didn't work for me as much as I would've liked, I'll certainly check out Eleanor's next release and see where I stand fully then.

I do love creepy kids/teens but I want them (more uniquely) EVIL.  *shrug*
