A beautiful, emotional book about love, life, grief, and letting go. It took a bit longer to grab me than Cerulean Sea, but overall I think I liked it even more. Had me in tears at the end. Reminded me at times, especially in the last quarter of the book, of the game Spiritfarer. The characters were extremely lovable. TJ Klune has such a way of making you feel and understand without beating you over the head with the point of the book. I haven’t been through the kind of grief this book explores, not really, but I know that when I do I’ll be just a little bit more prepared. This book takes care of you.

A beautiful mix of A Christmas Carol and The Good Place. Lots of Neil Gaiman vibes. Loved it and cried towards the end.

This was a very sweet story. While the plot felt slow and the setting felt redundant at times, I still greatly enjoyed spending time with these characters. It took me a while to warm up to Wallace but I ended up loving his journey and the family he finds in Hugo, Mei, Nelson, and Apollo.
