Y'all know I love a good taboo book! This best friend's dad.. I ate it up. I rated 3 stars because I do feel like some of the wording seems like it was copied and paste from the first book.
I absolutely loved this book! The constant push and pull of wanting each other and but trying to resist. And once they finally give in pure fire.
The worst kept secret is how good this book is. Don’t waste time letting it set in your tbr.

OMG ! I know she says The Season of Secrets was hotter and yeah it was but not by a lot !!!! These two are fucking explosive !!! I absolutely loved their relationship, how they are with eachother! The sassiness Avery brings. I couldn’t put it down and when I had to i was thinking about what was gonna happen next! I love love age gap, the whole forbidden romance - I eat that shit right up !!!! I was so hot, this was panty wetting good
I feel like I say this every time I review one of Q.B. Tyler's books, but she is the queen of an age gap and/or forbidden romance!
This is the second book in Secrets, even though it came out before the prequel (The Season of Secrets), and blessssss Theo & Avery are insanely hot! Avery is Theo's sons best friend, & the girl next door to them. Theo is the retired NFL star as well.
The sneaking around, the knowing they shouldn't be together, the development of feelings, it's all so good! The drama with Theo's son is super frustrating, but also understandable lol.
PS: Getting more of Wes & Reagan in this one was a treat since I read Season of Secrets first!

Another age gap for the books. I enjoyed this one a bit better than The Season of Secrets. I'm not sure if its because I already knew the characters a bit, but I felt more connected to both main characters.
Theo Graham and Avery Summers have known each other 8 years, from the day Theo and his kids moved next door to the Summers family. While Avery had a crush on her best friends dad the entire time, Theo didn't see her differently until a summer she was in college. Theo struggled so much with his feelings for Avery and I don't think she ever thought he would see her as anything besides his sons best friend. I wish I would have gotten a bit more of them getting to know each other, but I enjoyed it!
