The most easy, comprehensive Seerah of the Prophet (pbuh) that I've read thus far. Really liked the narrator - audiobook was 10/10 for such a book with some heavy topics.

"Muhammad: His Life Based on the Earliest Sources" is a biography of the Prophet Muhammad written by Martin Lings. The book was first published in 1983 and has since become a classic in Islamic literature.

The book provides a comprehensive and detailed account of the life of Prophet Muhammad, based on the earliest and most reliable sources of Islamic history. Lings' writing style is engaging and accessible, making the book an excellent introduction to the life and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad.

One of the strengths of the book is its accuracy and attention to detail. Lings draw on a range of historical sources, including the Qur'an, Hadith, and the Sirah (biographical) literature, to provide a complete and nuanced picture of the Prophet's life. Lings also provides context and analysis, which helps the reader to understand the historical and cultural context in which the events took place.

Another strength of the book is its emphasis on the spiritual and moral teachings of the Prophet. Lings present Muhammad as a role model for Muslims, highlighting his compassion, wisdom, and devotion to God. The book also provides insights into the Prophet's relationships with his family, companions, and enemies, giving readers a deeper understanding of his character and leadership.

The book also contains several illustrations and maps, which help to bring the historical events to life. The illustrations include depictions of important figures and events in Islamic history, and the maps help readers to visualize the places where important events took place.

Overall, "Muhammad: His Life Based on the Earliest Sources" is an excellent introduction to the life and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad. It is an accurate and detailed account of his life, presented in an engaging and accessible style. The book is suitable for both Muslims and non-Muslims who are interested in learning about the life of the Prophet and the early history of Islam.

Peace and blessing upon Prophet Muhammad s.a.w.

Reading this biography evokes so many emotions. The final chapter is so mournful as we bid farewell to the most amazing man to ever set foot on earth.

"Islam began as something strange and it will return to being strange, so blessed are the strangers".

May Allah give us the strength to hold fast to the Book of God (Al quran) and the word of His Prophet (As sunnah).
