most books written about the internet are by non-natives. this, by someone somehow even more online than me was a tonic. it was an excellent, reflective, thorough study of the modern internet and the weird few years we’ve been living. neither demonising nor unquestioning of the internet, it explored what drives modern digital consumer capitalism
