I actually wasn't sure what I was getting into when I picked this book up. I did not read this one as second in a series, I read it as a stand alone and I think that it works really well. I really enjoyed the characters of North and Sierra and how they complement each other. I don't typically like romance, however, romance surrounded by mystery is completely okay with me and I think the author did it really well.

I really enjoyed the second entry in this trilogy. It does a good job of advancing the story and makes me long for the conclusion. North Chastain is a cleaner who has discovered he is losing his night vision and may be losing his mind. He has to wear special glasses to keep from being haunted by hallucinations. When his father is injured by what appears to be a psychic weapon, the Foundation sends him to Seattle to track it down. Sierra Raines is a go between who is hired to help him. They quickly find the trail but are in constant danger. This bother North because he doesn't want Sierra to be hurt. Both North and Sierra are at a crossroads in their life and are really looking for their calling. They are able to get the device that they want and heal North's father. They also fall in love which fit into the story well. There was also a set up for the conclusion of the trilogy.

I have been waiting for this book for ages and it did not disappoint!!! I loved Sierra, who is good at her job as a go between, can take care of herself, but still is trying to find her way after her previous job was scuttled. North is serious and focused and deathly afraid that he is losing his mind and his talent, but still needs to figure out what happened to his father and how to fix it. Intense and vibrant and absolutely wonderful, I can’t wait for the next book in the series!!

All the Colors of Night by Jayne Anne Krentz is the second book in the Fogg Lake series. Book two follows North Chastain a man who is losing his psychic abilities when he gets a call that his father is in a coma and dying. North needs to find the weapon so find the cure to save his dad. The only person who can help him is Sierra Raines, a go between getting artifacts from buyer to seller. Can the two find the item to save North’s father, solve an old mystery and survive?
This was a fun read. I flew through this book and enjoyed it for the most part. My biggest problem was there was a scene word for word from book one that made me question my sanity. I was trying to figure out if I had read this book before. I figured out the problem, but this drew me out of the story. I also knew the ending which was maybe in the first book, or I have read enough of Krentz that I knew who the bad guy was from the beginning.
Overall, I did enjoy this book and would recommend it. I would give it 3.5 stars and I round up because I still smile when I think back to this book from a couple weeks ago. Thank you to NetGalley, Jayne Anne Krentz and Berkley Publishing Group for an ARC. This was an honest review.
