No book has ever made me so unsure about what I should rate it. The book was fantastic up until Addie fucked Luc. It has one of the most accurate depictions of how depression feels (to me). Beautifully done. I truly feel like I can relate to Henry.

That...was impressive.

I love Schwab's writing style, and the way she describes Addie's eternity. The relationship she has with Henry... I don't have the words right now for how much I love this book.

One of the best works of fiction I've read in a long time.

I would give this 4.5 stars- it was great a read and story! It was captivating and page turning but also makes you think and imagine. The writing is absolutely beautiful and makes you feel like you are living the life next to Addie. I highly recommend!!

This was the first book I read by V.E. Schwab, and I was struck by her examination of the importance of legacy to art. The main character, Addie LaRue, had a really interesting obstacle to overcome, and I enjoyed untangling the mysteries of her world with her.

I finally read this book! I ended up listening to the audiobook and I am glad I did. It definitely took me quite a while to get into it and it felt like very little was happening. I’d say about 35% in or so and I got much more invested. The writing is beautiful and the story is very good. Chapters are short, which is helpful.
