This is up there as one of my fav Ashley Poston books. I struggled to get into it at the beginning with the slow nature of the book and the idea of this being fictional. However, once I started to get to know the characters more the town of Eloraton was beautiful! I bawled when they revealed that the authors ex fiance is Anders and how he was still given a happily ever after in her books. I think that is so sweet. And when they parted ways for him to see how the books end and for Elsie to return to her life AND THEN MET BACK UP. It’s truly nice seeing people work on themselves and still get their happily ever after!!!!

I could nit-pick this book a lot, but I don't want to. It was such a creative, beautiful story of learning how to move forward in life. Full of that magic that Ashley always provides, I enjoyed this book from beginning to end! I loved the fiction within a fiction, and Ashley did a fantastic job at creating a whole cast of characters that felt just a little more unreal than Elsy.
Overall, this story was imperfect but so worth the read! It has a Ruby Sparks magic that had me hooked!

Too corky and whimsical for me. Felt like a hallmark movie in a book. Didn’t feel like the main character really had a personality except for liking romance novels.
