I absolutely adored the premise / concept of this book but unfortunately the execution wasn't working for me: I don't care about the main characters and I'm not feeling the romance. I can still see how / why people love this but there are too many books on my TBR I'm excited to get to, so I'm not going to force myself through something that just isn't doing it for me (+ the narrator wasn't doing the book any favors either)

⭐️ 4.75/5. Ashley Poston has a way of writing emotion that resonates so deeply with me. She makes me feel as if I am feeling her main characters’ emotions in a way that is deeper than most authors can.

In this magical realism, small town romance, there are strong themes of self discovery and advocacy, friendship, love, loss, moving on, and finding what in life will make you truly happy as you become the best version of yourself. Mix that with some relatable humor, amazing side characters, and grumpy MMC bookstore owner, and you have a perfectly relaxing story to dissolve into.

I really loved this book. You can tell the author is a book lover and it was really nice to connect with that. I've never in my life read the acknowledgement of any book, but this author has such a way with words it made me read the book from start to finish without leaving a single page out.

This book was so boring. Genuinely smattered skimming about 20% through. And I’m so busy with school and xc so I’m not gonna waste my feee time reading a book I find extremely snooze worthy. Like seriously nothing has really happened in the book and I was gonna finish it to see where the romance goes but I’m really uninvested in the couple so I’m just gonna save my time.
