I really enjoyed this one. Loved all the times Remy and Maria were stuck. Loved how much Remy stepped up for Maria and Izzy.
As the oldest brother of the Winslow family, Remy is the known as the caretaker. And years after getting left at the alter, he doesn’t do relationships. When he gets stuck in an elevator with his formal high school sweetheart, they immediately start to reconnect again. Also this is a good time to tell you maria is pregnant with a baby that isn’t biologically her’s. What could go wrong.. or right?
I love this book so much! It was the perfect ending to this series. I love all the characters in this book, the Winslow family have my heart. Maria and Remy are everything! They served like no other. I love them as individual characters and as a couple. Maria and Remy are so kind and selfless and deserved all the happiness. They just made my heart all warm and fuzzy. I was definitely giggling and kicking my feet at times! Safe to say they are now my favorite couple in the series!! This book just gave me everything i didn’t know i needed and more. Now one of my favorite second chance romances! I need and want more of Maria and Remy already <3
Thank you maxmonroe and rick for sending me this arc!!

This book was freaking cute and hilarious!
I’m still in my secret/surprise pregnancy era and I have to say this is my favorite read so far!
Maria becomes pregnant with the hopes that she will be able to give her sister and her husband the gift of a child. Unfortunately, life has other plans. Maria is left tragically and frantically preparing for a child she didn’t intend to keep. A turn of events leads Maria to get stuck in an elevator with her old high school sweetheart, Remy. They are both shocked to see each other but it’s undeniable that the old sparks between them still exist and this time Remy isn’t going to let Maria get away so easy.
I’ve haven’t read any of the previous books in the series but this book definitely made me want to. The characters were great and I’m definitely curious about their love stories as well. I love how Remy showed up for Maria even when she was fighting it so much. THIS MAN. Like if you’re going to be snatching up a step daddy this is the best model. The Redo was unbelievably cute and heartwarming you won’t even notice it’s 400+ pages haha
If you love a good second chance rom-com then this is the perfect fit!

Remington Winslow has been a single bachelor for most of his life after being left at the alter 15 years ago. Now he is focused on his family and work. Remy is surprised when he gets trapped in an elevator with his old high school sweetheart Maria. Maria is eight months pregnant, with a baby that isn't biologically hers, but she will be raising. After the baby is born Maria is trying to do everything on her own, but Remy reminds her she isn't alone and ends up helping her as she tries to navigate her demanding career and motherhood. As the two spend more time together flames they thought they buried start to smoke again. But Remi doesn't believe in happily ever after's for himself and Maria doesn't want to jeopardize the easy friendship they have. What happens as the smoke turns into flames.
The perfect ending to a fantastic series! I love the whole Winslw family and watching them all fall in love has been wonderful from the very beginning.
I couldn’t wait for Remy to find his own HEA and the wait was worth it! I love that Remy & Maria were high school sweethearts. Their past relationship was weaved perfectly throughout the book and I absolutely loved seeing them fall in love both times. This book was the perfect mix of swoony, spicy and banter in a way that only Max Monroe can achieve. And the extended epilogue…..Perfection!

4/5🌶️, MF, CR, second chance (former high school sweethearts), mature MCs (40s), single mom (of a newborn), standalone, part of a series, dual narration, Everand
This book is a second chance for high school sweethearts with pregnancy/newborn caretaking and career driven characters in their 40s. While this was my first Max Monroe, I could tell she has that mainstream, bubblegum pop, style of romance writing that doesn’t always appeal to me. The kind where there is a lot of personification of genitals (“my vagina suddenly wakes up”, “my dick is certainly interested in the answer. He is eagerly waiting” - that kind of stuff), slapstick humour and large groups of siblings who meddle in each other’s business.
The story is told using a few flashbacks to the couple’s time dating during high school, and I didn’t find these sections added more to the story but slowed the story down. I also wasn’t a fan that the first time the couple has sex they are mostly drunk. Plus the “are we a couple?/I don’t know if he loves me because I’ve never been to his apartment even though he is always taking care of me and my child, taking me on vacations, his whole family including me on family events” was a bit annoying, especially because the characters are older and wouldn’t have time for bullshit. I did enjoy how the MMC was all in being a dad and taking care of the baby.
In the end, this was an ok book but not one I’m going to come back to and didn’t really sell me on the author either.

Easy 5. The whole series is so good! My lil heart is happy. Extended epilogue is worth reading too.
I was generously given an influencer’s copy in exchange for an honest review!

This story line is quite unique! I can honestly say I have not read anything quite like the main plot line of this story, and for that, I’m impressed! Did you catch that part in the blurb about how she’s pregnant with a child that isn’t biologically hers? She’s pregnant with her sister’s child and after a tragic accident, no other option ever crosses her mind other than to become the child’s mother. My heart sympathized with her for how her life changes dramatically within less than a year, but she was a complete bad ass woman for her tenacity and determination!
These two and elevators! I have to say, I might be nervous the next few times I have to get on an elevator due to this couple’s bad luck with them! But from their bad luck comes a beautiful and immensely emotional bonding experience between the two of them! I was extremely impressed by the way Remy just immediately feels protective and nurturing towards both the baby and Maria. It fit right in with the role we’ve come to learn of Remy within his family. He’s been protective over Winnie and adores Lexi so it was no surprise that he easily took on a caregiver role for them!
I cannot tell you how much I appreciate that the author shows us this couple’s past through flashback chapters versus telling us past tense details. And the parallels between their present and past chapters were
