Max Monroe

Max Monroe ends this series on such a high- and Remy at long last gets his own happily ever after! I have simply adored this Winslow brothers series - perhaps my favorite from the always fun and sweet Max Monroe. This series has been so hilarious, sexy, and heartwarming. I’ve loved each story as much as the first, but I think MM saved the best for last. There’s something so special about Remy and Maria’s second chance love story. Not only did I find them so adorable together (and what a great RE-meet cute), but I loved that these two find love later in love, and find it with their first love. It’s just so swoony. Given their history, there’s such much substance to their connection, and I found their intimacy to be so steamy AND so emotionally meaningful. Not to mention- Remy is a totally ovary melter with book boyfriend charm AND add in a baby? I mean come one. And MM gives us some really great moments with all our brothers and some series closure- I love this whole crew.

How y’all gonna leave me hanging like that.

I can’t believe this is the last book for the Winslow family. We’ve been waiting for Remy’s story for awhile and it surpassed all you could want for him! I don’t think I’ll be able to ride normal in an elevator again. This whole group - they are so funny. I can’t imagine a family dinner with them all ;) I am holding out for Lex to get a story! I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Read this book because of a scroll on TikTok. I was really disappointed to be told the key element of the plot and not been able to experience it. Liked the story okay.

Remy and Maria. High school sweethearts who run into each other after 28 years. In an elevator. And a second elevator.

This book was exhausting.

She was a surrogate for her sister and brother-in-law, but has to step in after they die. She can’t accept help from anyone and must honor all of her sister’s wishes, even at the detriment of her own wants and needs. She’s also trying to run a business and she must do everything. Because no one can do it.

He broke up with the best girl in the whole world because he wanted to be free for college. He gets left at the altar and his ex-fiancée is now married to his niece’s sperm donor. He’s the oldest of 5 and always took care of everyone, only now they don’t need him because everyone else is in love and forming their own families.

Oh, and there’s a fortune teller who has predicted everything for him and each of his brothers.

So, we bounce back and forth from the present to the past to a new baby to grief and loss to a control freak new aunt/mother to a man who has to fix everything to his meddling family to…

And that’s when I realized it was only Chapter 17. With 30+ chapters to go.

Uncle. White flag of surrender. I give up. DNF.

Remy’s story was a long time coming but so worth the wait. I’m so thankful that Max Monroe devoted so many pages to my favorite brother’s story, not only because he deserved it, but because we were given his backstory with Maria and a full picture of the Winslow family and their continuing interactions with fortune-teller Cleo who put this whole crazy series in motion.

I think the thing that pleased me the most is seeing just how incredibly kind, protective and supportive Remy is and how Maria is his perfect match. They were each other’s first love and are destined to be each other’s last. We all know that these romances end with a HEA, but the long journey these two took back to each other is what is so endearing.

I’m also thankful that the authors included a link to the extended epilogue. It was a wild and crazy family reunion on the occasion of Ty and Rachel’s wedding, and the love in this crazy family is palpable. I’ll miss the anticipation of each new release, but look forward to a new series featuring the next generation.

great plot

The idea of this story was excellent, however I didn’t care much for the execution of it. The flashbacks did little to help the current storyline. There seemed to be a lot of boring dialogue. I did appreciate this as an “older” romance novel.
emotional funny hopeful inspiring lighthearted reflective relaxing fast-paced

Predictable but entertaining

honestly…

It took too long to get to where it was going… and I needed closure with her assistant Claudia. Flynn definitely my favorite
