The Redo was my first read by Max Monroe and I thoroughly enjoyed it! This second chance romance features Remy and Maria, high school sweethearts that drifted apart. They meet again by chance and fall in love.
I found the circumstances in which they met hilarious and I loved seeing them fall in love with each other! There wasn’t much angst in the book and I loved the family aspect and the love! I really wish I had read the other books in the series as I feel I would have enjoyed this one more.
I’ll definitely be going back to read the other books in this story and I’m looking forward to reading more by Max Monroe.
Rating: 4/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Audible. This is the last of four brother books. And probably the weakest. it wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. I would not listen again.

I've been reading this series all out of order. I ADORED Flynn so I hoped that Remy was as solid. But this was the best of both worlds. I got to see stoic Flynn with a baby on each hip crushing Dad life.
Remy and Maria broke up with they were in high school and haven't seen each other for a few decades. They manage to get trapped in two separate elevators in NYC during a summer heat wave and he ends up delivering her baby in the second one. This is of course not how she would have preferred to catch up with the love of her life but, you know.
She's now a mom to a baby she never dreamed would be hers. (She offered to be a surrogate for her beloved sister and husband and they died before the baby was born) She's struggling with doing everything her sister would have wanted for this baby and being a mom. Remy is a dang dream because he comes over, gets that baby to sleep so she can take a shower, and arranges for someone to come clean her house when they're out. After that, he takes care of them wherever he can and they end up a ready-made family.
This was a typical Max Monroe so it did balance all of the heavy with a complete fever dream of a scene where Flynn and Remy challenge another dad to win carnival games to prove who is the best dad, I guess? I don't know. Remy took to being a dad flawlessly though.
Thank you to Max Monroe for a gifted copy!

I absolutely fell in love with this book. I liked watching these two characters become an unconventional family. It was almost as if they were destined from the start. I liked that this book actually talked about parenthood and didn't just save it for the epilogue. Were there parts of it that were cliche? Yes. Did I care? Not in the slightest.
This book was the perfect ending of this amazing family. And the bonus epilogue? /chef's Kiss.
