Obviously, I loved it. Such beautiful and poignant poetry. Not a word was wasted, yet each story felt expansive just like the former ocean desert. Attending the reading of the book was even better— hearing Kinsaleʼs words aloud, especially the diné bizaad, really moved me.

I’ve been following Kinsale for so long and I’m beyond excited to have held a full collection of their poetry in its full book-bound glory. The poems are so stunning and cover such a gorgeous range of Kinsale’s personhood. I can’t wait for more to come from Kinsale! 🥹💜 Highly recommend to those who want to read more poetry from Native artists, but even beyond that, there’s such a rich tapestry of family history, reflection and beauty that’s woven into the writing, you’ll enjoy it as a general poetry admirer.
