It reminded me of learning to write cursive. Not my favorite Beverly Cleary.

I loved this book as a kid, and I read it while I was learning cursive, too.

Slight but charming tale of third-grader Maggie, who doesn't see the use of cursive writing and refuses to learn it, and her wily and experienced teacher. Cleary's insight into the minds of third-graders continues to delight and impress, and her characters are always interesting. The narration was top-notch.
