This was a solid 4 stars. The plot itself is interesting. Something about it makes me want to read more, even though I didnt particularly care for a few of the tropes in this book. I will make this a short review, but here we're a few things I currently remember bugging me.
1. Lia. I know her entire character is based off her nosy, im the queen personality, but if she was a real life person and a box arrived for me and she OPENED it or stole my clothes or did anything else like that, I can promise you, I would not have kept my cool like Cassie did. Like, there is cool and I dont care and nosy, but then there's lia and this character just made me so mad.
2. Cassie. I guess I probably shouldn't put her under my issues with the book section, cause I actually really didn't hate this MC, which is probably part of the reason why I plan to continue this series. She wasn't really annoying or anything.
3. Dean. Oh my GOD I can't even remember 2 words this man said. He's like a piece of cardboard! How anyone can place him as best book boyfriend is insane to me. Like, he literally has no personality. None. Even his bad boy stay away from me persona doesnt work well because he had, like, 3 lines in the entire book!
The ending did suprise me. The whole aunt part was what was the most shocking. Not holly jackson level, but good enough that im interested to see what's next.

I will say I definitely suspected locke but the twist of her being related cause me to have to take a small break. Overall loved it, her way of writing isn’t anything grand but the story is compelling and can really paint the picture. Once I started I genuinely couldn’t put it down and I can’t wait to see what’s next. Also Cassie needs to understand she just likes Micheal just cause he likes her, she doesn’t actually see shin romantically and is using him as an excuse in why she can’t choose Dean
4.5⭐️- it was slow to start but the last 100 pages HAD ME. need the next one immediately.

this book has been on my tbr forever!
I liked the teen characters, but wished for more development among them overall. Book was predictable, but also still had it's twists. You can assume what's going to happen, but you don't know *why* that character would do that thing. I liked the book, but not enough to read the rest of the series; however, it did satisfy the criminal minds shaped hole in my heart 😊
