Second time I've read this book. Great plot. Good character development. Science is not really based in reality, but if you can suspend a bit of disbelief, it's a compelling story.

Fantastic. Made it through the whole thing in one sitting, was that good. I wish everyone didn't warn me not to read any of the sequels...

Conceptually strong, but the pervasive sexism and the stunningly underdeveloped female characters really made this one a total groaner by the end.

Sparsely written makes it a hard read, still, rewarding in the sheer fantasy of it all

This book was pretty good. Some of the concepts were really interesting, but there were definite moments that bored me. This does leave off well enough that I would be interested in checking out the sequels, but I don't have an urgent desire to do so.

The part that involves the adventure to get to and on the Ringworld is okay; the condescending and sexist way the author treats the few female characters on it is just shitty. Also, the writing is confusing and not compelling, so it took me months to finish this book.

Another book I finished just because I'm a damn completist.
