I barely have the words after finishing this book, but I can truly say that this will be a trilogy that stays with me for a long, long time. Lei and Wren’s entire journey is traumatising, empowering, beautiful, harrowing and everything in between. The two of them - amongst many of the charming (and not so charming) supporting cast - they’re going to live rent free in my heart and mind. This is rich and vibrant world, chaos and war written so vividly and the emotion pours off the page with every word. If you are able to understand that the warnings to do with the story are there for a reason, then these books are an enthralling read.

What a way for Natasha to end this series!! I have been so excited but so SCARED to read the finale to the Girls of Paper and Fire series and it did NOT disappoint. I knew there was going to be pain and tears and death in this book and I though I was ready.... I wasn't. Lei has grown into such a beautiful, strong and inspiring character in my eyes and I just loved reading more about her journey in this book. I also had forgotten we got Wren's POV in this book and that was a very nice surprise when I finally had the time to pick up the book.
Slight spoiler ahead so I blocked that bit out.
All in all, I think this was a great way to wrap up the story of Lei and Wren and I'm going to miss these girls so incredibly much but I will just have to plan in a reread anytime soon.

Kenzo was and still is one of my absolute favourite characters so I was pleasantly surprised to see a bit more of him in this book. I think the moment the first tears really shed, as in REALLY shed, was when Lei and the Paper Girls finally reunited. All in all, I think this was a great way to wrap up the story of Lei and Wren and I'm going to miss these girls so incredibly much but I will just have to plan in a reread anytime soon.
