I have never been so excited about insects before. This book contains enough facts to spoil your trivia hungry friends for a long time. Only reason it doesn't have five stars, the writing sometimes feels a bit forced and incoherent.

What a brilliant book. Fascinating and informative, there's a whole world of connections, lifestyles, abilities to explore. Many of the things in this were taken up by BBC Green Planet - I wonder if she was a consultant on that?

The author tries to cover a vast amount of information in a short book and fascinating though it is, I found it lacking in depth and detail. And some of the asides (e.g. a Beyoncé/broad shouldered men) comment made me feel like this was aimed at a younger age group.
