love this perspective, about what it takes to bridge the gap in any meaningful way, between clashing cultures with few easy solutions.

Absolutely fascinating deep sci fi novel that explored complex themes of identity, sexuality, and humanity. I have a hard time envisioning the characters and world in this series, which is the main reason I don't rate it higher. It's a cornerstone of the genre and absolutely visionary, if a little inaccessible.
inspiring

honestly feel we’d be better as hybrids.

The premise of this trilogy is wild. I loved Dawn and was excited to see what came next. I didn’t love the idea of the talking baby in the beginning but then later like Akin as a character. It was interesting to see more of the society.
