Ish good. Tells a good story but not a very good description of it all. Can be a bit boring at time.

I do not exactly remember reading this book. Thank you Mr. Oelrich in English II Honors.

I think it was interesting how Chnay changed. At first he was a bully, and he broke Jantu's and Dara's toys. Then he helps Dara find her family when she is lost. I think he should not have stolen food, but I think he was trying to do the right thing. I think that Chnay did not actually dislike Dara, even in the beginning, because there were thousands of people in Nong Chan, but he remembered Dara and her family. It says near the end of the book that Chnay had made friends with the monkey, but I wonder how.
I liked the book, and thought it was very interesting. The ending was sad for the reader, but I think all the characters ended up happy.
