An interesting book about hope and humanity and pleasure and pain and suffering and the future... some interesting ideas and insights but not that much that was actually new to me. I enjoyed the second half much more than the first one.

It was interesting, made me laugh quite a bit. Says the word "ultimately" far too often (idk why that bothered me but it was noticeable enough lmao)

I loved the first book. I recommended it to many people. This one missed the mark for me. 😕

His first book was much better.

First half of book much better than the last. Took a great idea just couldn't run with it the full way. That said interesting and thought provoking.

Having read a previous Mark Manson book I said that I'd give this one a go. It's much of the same stuff, but it does give you a good perspective on how life works in general.

Interesting philosophical look at hope and pain, then the last chapter says we’ll all worship the AI we’ll create and that’s the best thing for humanity. 4 stars because it’s well written and thought provoking, but the last chapter was less thoughtful (okay, not thoughtful at all) and deserves only 1 star.
