Everything is fucked, including this book.

Bro why you shittin on religion
informative medium-paced

Funny and informative, I really enjoyed this book. Except for the end where he's fine with a robot takeover of the world.

Man does this book cover a lot. The philosophy of Nietzsche, Kant, and Socrates tied in with modern politics, social networking and finally AI. I don't agree with all of the authors premises but he did have some compelling arguments for why things are the way are. Strangely fascinating read.

DNF about halfway through. He's a terrible audiobook narrator; he doesn't even land his own punchlines. He also started with some super problematic claims about just thinking your way out of some serious and real mental health issues. I kept going after that, giving him the benefit of the doubt to explain, but no, it didn't get better.

It was quick to read and some parts were interesting, but I found myself skimming over a lot of it. Not a lot really spoke to me until the last couple of chapters.

The book is good, but tends to jump all over the place in my opinion and definitely was not what I was expecting. It was far more philosphical than anticipated.
hopeful informative inspiring fast-paced

I got 30% through this book and had to give up. I read his previous book ‘The Subtle Art Of Not Giving A Fuck’ and enjoyed it, but I just can’t get through this one. It seems like every second sentence has a reference in it, so you’re reading a paragraph and you have to keep flipping to the back of the book to read an extra bit of text. It reads like an article from a science journal (of which I have a lot of experience after doing a psychology degree!) and it really takes you out of the flow of the book. I’m sure it has some good points in it but it almost feels like the author has just read a lot of other people’s work and has merged it into one book, rather than having his own ideas.

Maybe I just 100% missed the point of this book but it fucking sucked
