This had some interesting stories and points but for the most part it was just dull. I was not expecting a really long chapter about how to start your own religion. It just felt out of place and while I've tried many a time to convince my fiance to open 'The Church of Evan: A Gamer's Church' he isn't budging. Maybe he just needs that really long chapter...
Once again, Mark Manson provides a clarity on things I deeply needed to be enlighted on.
I listened to the translated Dutch audiobook of Everything is F*cked.
I prefer it to 'The Subtle Art', because this book talks about society, philosophy and mankind as a whole. The examples he gives, the people he references and the points he makes are interesting most of the time. Important to know is that nothing he does here is new. He acts like a scientist without actually referencing people and switches in tone throughout the book.
In the final chapter, he takes his points from Harari, without mentioning him one single time. Then, he drops his unnuanced opinion about the topic of Dataism. At the end pages, he does whatever he told us not to do in the rest of the book, and that's to speak out hope. This book is full of contradictions. But even though, I enjoyed it and it sparked my interest.

Maybe more of a 3,5/5 stars rating than 4. This book was not bad by any means but it was a bit of a disappointment for me, especially if I compare it to the first book he wrote, The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F*ck.
I didn't find it engaging and I found myself multiple times beingh kind of bored while reading it, mostly because it felt like it had longer narratives. I still enjoyed it overall and I will probably read every book Mark Manson decides to publish!

Mark Manson does it again with the blatant truths you need to hear to change your mindset. I found this book especially fitting and important given our current political climate in the US.
“True equality can never be achieved; someone somewhere will always be screwed over.”
This book was pretty average in comparison to Subtle Art. Some cool concepts but a bit a slog to finish. 3 stars.
