A very thorough look at Punk Rock, going back to the stooges and MC5.  It was in a manner that I forget the description of but it's a non-traditional manner in tha the book reads more like you are reading someone's conversation.  The book did keep my interest though and I learned a lot about the early days of Punk.

While the book is entertaining overall (it features interviews with many of the key players in the punk scene) it seems to lack depth. With no corroborating stories or points of view, there are moments when the material is lacking. No real insight into songwriting or creativity here, mostly stories of tours and shows and the debauchery that accompanied it. Still, it's a fun read and any music fan will enjoy it.

Amazing first hand account of the punk scene during it's explosion. You feel immersed in a time long gone. Loved it.
