I think each of the HH books has been better than the last. The sarcasm is one of my favorite things about the series.

There was a lot of action and movement in the book, but I think some character depth would have rounded it out and made it a 5.

The Brannicks have been highly anticipated (by me) and their place in the story felt too shallow and too short. They felt cardboardish. And I don't think I ever read (or maybe I missed) how Grace cause Aislynn to be kicked out of the compound all those years ago. And I wanted to know more about Torin.

I wasn't crazy about the ending- It didn't feel very final and I had trouble picturing the characters carrying on.

And Cal drives me crazy- I know he's not a man of many words, but we never really go to know him. Was she protecting us from the eventual loss? Why don't we know his story? I do love how he looked his coming death in the face with silence and bravery. That's something I'd need to talk to someone about.

For things I liked- Sophie getting her powers back, Archer finding out about his name and past, Sophie reuniting with her family/friends. I was glad they survived.

I got a little bit annoyed with this book because personally, I like Cal more than Archer, but it was still great!

my favourite series by far

This was incredibly disappointing. I'm going to avoid rating it because I really don't know what to choose.

This book was fun and a good conclusion of the trilogy, but I guess I lost my interest in the story.

This was such a good conclusion to the series! I'm sad about one of the storylines, but overall liked how everything ended.

Kurzmeinung
