Okay so plus, no third act breakup and this was funny relatable and cute and romancy.
But like some of this was hell cringe, especially the beginning, and some parts Rowdy gave me the ick lmao. I feel like he got really attached really quick after they kissed idk like you’ve known her for a month and you wanna bring her home for Christmas? The timeline is weird. His reaction to her being a virgin too and laughing at first gave me the ickkkkk idk how she didn’t get shitty at him for anything.
Also why did you make his name sterling 💀 that is a hate crime I cannot believe this.

4.5 ⭐ I enjoyed every minute of this book. It's fun-lovin and hilarious not taking itself too seriously. There's no 3rd act break-up which makes me like it even more . It was just a good time.

This book was cute but nothing outstanding.
It’s starts with Scarlett going at a party her friends dragged her to. Where she ends up getting kicked out by Rowdy and they hang out on the front porch. She keeps coming back every Friday and they end up talking on the porch every time.
Scarlet and Sterling were super cute together they had really great banter but there was nothing that really stood out with this book.

After finishing this book I was so disappointed. When I started reading I thought this book was promising I thought it's going to be a funny sport romance book but they had conflicts or challenges overall boring couple anyway, this was a miss for me.

I’ve only ever read Sarah Ney once, it was The Studying Hours. It was okay, it was fast read — but honestly, I didn’t even think about checking her other novels.
Until Jock Row got recommended to me, and I was so intrigued — friends to lovers, and not to mention, their relationship started out on a chilly porch in Iowa. So I read it, AND I LOVED IT.
I can relate to the story so much, I had almost the same experiences as Scarlett (minus the being thrown out to the party thing).
Anyway, it was fun and HILARIOUS. I love Mrs. Wade!!! One thing I noticed with Ney’s books is that they don’t seem to have drama — I love a good drama, but I am so thankful from time to time to read books that are drama-free. I mean, relationships can be easy for other people, and I would like them represented in books too.
