sad
I really liked this book and it's depiction of this harrowing sad, disconnected feeling from the world around oneself.
It took me a little while to get used to the narrative style (it switches between first and third person), because I read it in french but it was really worth it!
I loved how it put words to this very complicated mixture of depression, indifference, but at the same time anxiety, and just this deep sense of something lacking within oneself.
I would recommend this to anybody who ever felt out of place in a group of people where nobody seemed to care when you yourself also seem unable to care.
A beautifully crafted novel.
