With a similar style of humour as her Sarah’s Scribbles comics, Sarah’s other book Cryptid Club features paranormal creatures as the stars. With an interest in the paranormal myself, I absolutely loved these silly cute comic strips that show ghosts, aliens, Slender Man, Big Foot, etc. in a variety of familiar situations but from the POV of Cryptid and not how humans perceive them (like blurry photos, crop circles). A quick read but thoroughly enjoyable.
super cute and fun!!! the drawings of the cryptids were adorable and I enjoyed the glossary at the end.
I have been following Sarah's cryptid journey on social media since its beginning and love that the comics are now bound together in a book. The comics feature classic and modern cryptids interacting with each other and humans in a sweet and comedic way. My favorites in the book are the aliens abducting cows because Thorp things they're neat and anything with Mothman being a light-addicted menace. The book is easy one that will be fun to go back to over and over again. Other than a few overarching themes regarding some of the specific cryptids, there is not really an overarching plot line so it can be enjoyed in small bursts rather than needing to be read straight through. I absolutely adored this book and can't wait to see what Sarah hyper fixates on next.
