I actually really liked the actual plot in this one, It was very well done and really kept you on your toes about what is going to happen. In particularly I loved the Luna plot point and her character arc in realizing obsession isn't love and choosing to be a good guy, in the end, It was definitely an unexpected twist as I expected her to just remain an antagonist.

The plot really added to the erotic moments and made them feel meaningful and not just superfluous.

Not a perfect read, but probably my favorite out of this series, a great quick read!

Loved it.

In the words of the author, what a ride! This book has all the feels. The author's descriptions paint a vivid picture as you see the story through not only her eyes but the eyes of every character in the book.

Garrett, a high-ranking member of a military special forces unit, believes he lost the love of his life, Sage, when she was among a group of aid workers who were kidnapped and killed in the jungles of Thailand a year earlier. He is in the midst of grieving the loss of his beloved when Sage and her teammates are rescued and the world as he knows it is turned upside down.

This is the first title in a series of romantic suspense novels. This is the first title I've read by the author but I'll definitely be checking out more. This novel is FREE right now wherever you buy books

After the death of his wife over a year ago, Garrett cannot seem to function without hatred and control. When he and his Special Forces teammates attempt to save a group being sold as sex slaves, Garrett’s life comes to a standstill when one of the woman he is saving ends up being his wife Sage. When they return home and try to get back to a normal life Garrett cannot get past that she needs to be treated like glass when all Sage wants is for her husband to dominate her and take control. But when Sage is kidnapped again and Garrett has to go undercover as her buyer does he fully understand what they need as a couple. But will it be too late and the mission go south or will they finally get their HEA? With beautifully written characters and a storyline that keeps the reader on the edge of their seat, this story is a must read. I cannot wait for more in this series.

~4/5

Sage and Garrett were in a serious relationship, and then she disappeared. He’s gone on living, feeling empty, ever since. Going on missions, doing his job. And then he goes on a mission with his team, and rescues her, unknowingly.

I love the attraction, and the love, between these two. Garrett thought Sage was dead this entire time, and tried to deal with that. And now she’s back, and they both want their relationship back, but he’s fighting it. Especially since he has more dominant desires that he thinks are wrong, no matter how much Sage tries to tell him she wants it.

I loved the way he fought it, and how she tried showing him, convincing him, that they could try again, that she wanted the same things he did.

This book went by very fast, and I loved every bit of it. The next book in the series stars their friends, and I’m really looking forward to reading it, and am surprised I haven’t grabbed it up already.

This book is just weird. I can't quite invest myself in the characters and I can't figure out the heroes reasoning. So ... is he planning to never have sex with her again cause he wants to be all dominant? Even though we get to listen to his PoV he never quite thinks through what the hell his plan is, so I just don't get it. Then he knows King has put some sort of kidnap order out on Sage and can't be bothered to tell her so she knows to be vigilant too? That's just stupid.

Add that to the fact that I kept not ... quite following how we were getting from one place to another and I just felt disconnected. Ah! they jumped out of a plane. They are grinding against a tree ... and now they are home. What?

First off you should know this is book was previously released under the title of Saved by his Submissive in 2014 but now it has a new name and cover. Saved by Angel Payne is the first book is her Wild Boys series.

I hate to admit it but this book was a miss for me completely but it's mostly because that you'd think after 400+ days as a Human Sex trafficking hostage there would be more said about therapy after her ordeal and a doctor's exam. But nope it's just jump in bed with her boyfriend and ask for sex. While I have read BDSM in the past and loved it this just book wasn't my cup of tea

Garrett is a Special Forces soldier mourning the loss of his fiancee and he's turned to booze to forget which worries his team of how well he can do his job. Imagine his surprise when they raid a sec slave auction and find both Rayna and Sage among the women being held. Sage was in the kidnapped when her caravan was attacked by soldiers wanting only one thing sex slaves. Both Rayna and Sage manage to stay alive being bought and sold but staying together.
Once rescued Sage immediately wants to go to bed with Garret but he decides this isn't the time. But King escapes and suddenly turns up wanting to kidnap the girls again but Garrett's team doesn't tell them that King is back. I just couldn't get into the book beyond this.

I give Saved a 2.8 star rating but it just wasn't the book for me.

Angel Payne writes some of the hottest BDSM romance around and so I was not surprised at all that I loved this book. What was a fantastic surprise was the amazing emotional roller coaster that Saved By His Subnissive turned out to be. Not only is this a romance, an erotic romance with BDSM elements it is a suspenseful, riveting and heartwarming read that will have you laughing out loud one minute and wringing your hands and wiping tears the next.

Ms. Payne is able to write characters that have been through some of the most traumatic and awful life changing events and she lets you into their head and into their hearts. While dealing with abandonment issues, PTSD and abuse trauma both Sage and Garrett come out stronger and better but only after they wade through dealing with it. This isn't your wave a magic wand and everyone is okay sort of story, and thank heavens for that.

With gripping plotlines, off the charts sexual tension and wring your panties sex scenes Saved By His Submissive is one of the best books I have read this year. While I adore Ms. Paynes other series (The Kinky Truth series) I have to say that I LOVE this one even more. I will be first in line when the next book in the series Handcuffed by Her Hero, comes out in the Summer 2013.

I received this book in exchange for my honest review.
