i felt like the first part was more interesting than the second, because they spend a lot of time fighting.
however, i really enjoyed reading about nico and luke’s backstories, and i think it was the most interesting parts of the books.

“I found myself staring at her, which was stupid since I'd seen her a billion times. Still, she seemed so much more mature. It was kind of intimidating. I mean, sure, she'd always been cute, but she was starting to be seriously beautiful.”

I can't believe that after so many years, I finally finished Percy Jackson and the Olympians. This had one of the most satisfying endings to a series that I've read in a long time, and in some ways it's even better than the Harry Potter finale... or at least the epilogue lolol. One of the main things that detracts from the experience for me, and why this didn't get 5 stars, is that none of the character deaths or important moments made me feel so strongly that I cried. But this series will always be special to me, after all it was the first fantasy that I read.
