While this title is in fiction, it is actually an account of approximately 2 years of the author's life as she deals with her mental health.

I appreciated the candidness of what she went through; the personal letters, drawings, health records, etc were a nice touch that helped you see the validity of the story.

It was a fairly quick read-I started it last night and read three quarters of it before I passed out.

While this book was really good, I wouldn't recommend reading this unless you have really stable mental health and have no issues with (or consuming intense material about): self-harm, suicide, psychosis, mental illness, or drug addiction.

I really enjoyed this, especially as someone who’s been in a nearly identical situation. I found Juliet’s struggles very relatable and the ending was really nice. I wish there’d been more discussion of the abuses that occurred at her school, since it’s such a common occurrence and the book is autofiction. I loved the realistic  bonds that the kids at the school formed with each other. There are very graphic depictions of self harm and suicide throughout, so be careful if that’s triggering for you.
