[REVIEW TO COME AT A LATER DATE UPON A FULL SERIES RE-READ.]
I enjoyed this book. I really like Entreri as a character and I'm looking forward to learning more about Jarlaxle's past and hope that comes out in the following books as well. I appreciate the fact that even though Entreri and Jarlaxle did something good for the realm, they didn't suddenly become goody-two shoes and are still basically the same self serving people. Though I will say Entreri has had some neat character growth since his first appearance.
It was a relief and also kind of odd to have the Crystal Shard finally destroyed. It's been around, though not always visible, through a lot of books. I'm sure there will be other things to threaten though, as evil never sleeps.
My least favorite part of this book were Drizzt's interjections at the beginning of each section. I'm over here like "Dude you aren't even in this book. Go away."
One of my favorite parts though was Jarlaxle warring against the shard and deciding that because *he* wanted to, he would build a second tower. Cracked me up because I realized right away what had happened.
