I knew I was going to adore this book.... ever since The Night Circus, I've been anxiously awaiting another offering from Erin Morgenstern. And she did not disappoint. I didn't just adore this book... I savored it. I found myself reading slowly so as to not finish it too soon. I enjoyed it even more than The Night Circus, which is saying something.

It's a fairytale for grown ups, with notes of The Neverending Story sprinkled with bits of Gaiman's The Sandman.

Looking forward to what the author has in store for us next!

So good. Just the kind of magical story I love. I put it down after about 140 pages because I didn't feel quite ready for it, but then I finished it up in the last three days.

This was exactly the escape I needed right now. There isn’t really a plot. The characters aren’t particularly complicated. The book is a mood? It washes over you and brings you somewhere special. The ending does not make sense. I realize this is a strange review. I liked this book very much.
