TW: Death of a sibling, guns,PTSD, Panic Attacks

This book starts off very fast paced to get you hooked and doesn’t let up.

I love how Shep is with Claudia in all ways: how he comforts her when she’s grieving, how he helps her when she has a panic attack, and how he gives her what she needs sexually while still being respectful and giving her aftercare.

Cannot wait to continue on with the series!!!

New to me author! Beards, Badasses and BDSM?! This was totally wild and I stayed up far too late to finish it but it was so worth it!

After a chance meeting during the worst day of Claudia Cole's life - she feels very tied to Shep Olsen and just can't let him go. But she is inherently a city girl and belongs in NYC and he won't leave his mountain or his giant dog. I loved that this took place over a longer period of time - it wasn't like a one week and done sort of thing. Months and months go by - which adds to the level of heartbreak. There are no magic dick fixes (thank goodness!) and there are real issues and fallout from the violent beginning. This was also HIGHLY consensual and well researched and well written. The only reason it isn't five stars is I wanted more in the end. It felt like it was just over and I don't love that. (Give me epilogues or give me death!)
