Amazing!! There was a huge twist in this book! I’m glad we finally found out who Mercer really was. I love that Gianna and Adeline work through their disagreements and become friends again. I love her dad and how gangster he is. I love that the boys accept Jasper/Mercer finally and how they all marry Adeline in the end. I love that they all live through everything while still having the ledger. This was an amazing series and I definitely recommend to anyone who loves romance, action, and a dark aspect to the story.

The revelation that Mercer was not who he claimed to be was the wildest twist in Adeline's life to date. And she's been through some twists and turns lately that could only be found within the pages of fiction. She had already suffered the betrayal of her best friend and now one of the men she had lost her heart to was also holding a lot more secrets than she could have ever imagined. However, despite this fact, Adeline can't seem to let go of the feelings she had for Mercer turned Jasper. Now she not only has to find a way to reunite the boys but also come to terms with the fact that Mercer was an illusion. She has to decide whether she can let go of the man she loved or potentially rediscover that love with the true person behind the mask.

Jasper is everything that Mercer wasn't. He is serious, steadfast, and has an air of danger where Mercer was nothing but smiles and laughter. Jasper, while maintaining his secret mission, has decided to do everything he can to assist Adeline in her pursuit of the ledger while also trying to woo himself back into her good graces.

The gangs in the city are in an uproar and the new leader of the Kings will stop at nothing to force Adeline to hand it over. Even if that means playing Adeline's weaknesses against her. Can Adeline find a way to reunite The Merchants, explore a new relationship with the true form of her lover, find the ledger that her best friend has stashed away, and keep all the gangs of the city from banding together against The Merchants?

I never got a real feel for Mercer as a character throughout the past three books as he was always simply lurking in the shadows. He was always so accepting of Adeline's lies and betrayals which made me wonder whether he had his own. That would obviously make him a lot more understanding. Especially when it came to Adeline pretending to be someone she wasn't. I definitely loved Jasper when he started showing his determined nature. Where Mercer used to make subtle flirtatious remarks or advances, Jasper was extremely straightforward. If I didn't love Brutal completely, I may be able to be swayed to Team Jasper.

The wrap-up to this series was stellar albeit a little quick. It seemed the majority of the book was focused on Jasper's mysteries and his reconnecting with Adeline so that everything seemed to be tied up in a pretty little bow within the last 20% of the book. There really was no way else to map out the storyline in this case. The author had to get the relationship between Adeline and Jasper established while also having some pull back from Adeline. If there had been a fifth perhaps it could have been expanded a bit more so it flowed better but even then, it wasn't a deal breaker. I still thoroughly enjoyed the book and think it was the perfect ending to the binge-worthy series.

Well…

It wasn’t bad but it just felt rushed and like and half of it felt like a mystery. Honestly I still feel like I don’t know Mercer at all. There were also a lot of errors that weren’t fixed before the book was published. I noticed the same thing in Brutal. It’s like it was a rush to publish it. Everything tied up into a nice little bow at the end but it feels like it shouldn’t have, especially when you consider all the craziness that was happening. Also they’re all supposed to be professionals but how do they get caught and at others mercy so much??

Adeline is literally the worst gang leader. I refuse to believe that you’ve been taught by your dad who was supposedly one of the best and mess up at every turn. Your best friend betrayed you repeatedly and did such cruel crap to you and your men and you just let her live because you love her?? You let her back into your life just like that? Where is Adeline’s character growth? I couldn’t form a good connection with her character. Same for Mercer/Jasper.

Lastly, how does the restaurant work when Adeline is supposed to be dead? Does she dye her hair? Change her eye color with contacts? Stay out of the limelight in general? Like they really just expect no one to find out hiding in plain sight???

It was good, but I would have liked it more, if someone from the good guys (preferably Gianna) has actually died

Who the heck is Mercer Santos...or the man we thought was Mercer Santos? That was the biggest question I had going into this book and, while it took the whole book to get the whole story, we got quite the answer. The Saint and Sinners series is unlike any other reverse harem story I’ve read - action, deceit, gangs, family drama...it has a little something for everyone. I’m disappointed it’s over, but I know it’s not the last we’ll see from this world Ruby Vincent has created!

It’s difficult to review this book without giving away any spoilers since it’s the last book in the series, but I’ll give it a shot!

After running around like a fool after Gianna in the last book, Adeline thankfully is less crazy in this book. While I still don’t think her relationship with Gianna is intelligent after everything she’s done, it at least becomes more sane. But, she’s constantly setting herself up to play the martyr in almost every situation and it gets a little old after a while. And, even when all the gangs are looking to her to help them find the ledger/Gianna, she still insists on making kind of reckless decisions, especially when it comes to Mercer.

Even though Mercer (going to keep referring to him as that to avoid any spoilers!) has been an enigma throughout the entire series, we have to go back to square one with him in this book, which made it difficult for me to connect with his character. He still holds on to many of the traits and mannerisms he had before, but they’re different and it throws you for a loop. And, the most difficult thing for me to get past was all of the deception - what was real...what wasn’t? His character just felt twisted and unreal during so much of this story.

Adeline and Mercer have a lot of obstacles to overcome in this book after the revelation at the end of Brutal. They’ve always connected on a deeper level, understanding each other in a way that the others didn’t quite get, but after a huge betrayal like that, things changed. Their relationship in this book felt a little uncomfortable to me - they were trying to get to know each other again but also had old feelings to deal with and were working to separate lies from truth...it just was messy. I wanted to love them together more than I actually did and I think that was, in large part, because of how sincere and genuine Adeline’s relationship is with the rest of the Merchants.

This book is full of action. The other three certainly had a lot, but this one relies on it pretty heavily since things get crazy with the ledger, Gianna, the other gangs and the Merchants’ newest target. I really enjoyed that the action kept you guessing about what would happen next. Even when you thought you knew the plan and what would happen next, Adeline and the Merchants managed to pull one over on you. There were a few times in this book, however, that I felt like the romance storylines were overshadowed by the action...Adeline’s connection with the Merchants felt more like a convenience due to the circumstances they found themselves in more than a true love story.

Overall, I feel like the ending was a little rushed. There was so much build up and action leading up to the conclusion of everything that the revelations at the end fell kind of flat. I wanted more from all of it - we waited for almost four whole books for this reveal and it happened so quickly, then it was done. Just felt a little unsatisfying, in my opinion.

The epilogue gave me just enough to be happy with the outcome, but I always want more...more happiness, more love, more closure. I am excited that this hopefully isn’t the last we’ll see of Adeline and the Merchants - Son of Saint (first book in a new series and a continuation of Saint and Sinners) is coming soon! Really looking forward to it!

It was well written. But it was exhausting...almost non stop action and this just left me tired? So many questions about Mercer but so little time as so much was going on

Great ending to this story. I appreciate every minute of reading this series. It definitely wasn’t as spicy as I wanted and there were no group activities which was a disappointment but other than that. This series was all about finding Kieran’s ledger and using it to remake the city into something to be proud of. My god, addy and her men went through some crazy stuff to get to that point but it was worth it in the end. Be warned if you are expecting a lot of spice this series is not it.
