This was okay. I don’t think I enjoyed it as much as book 1 due to the plot being kinda boring and maybe not my thing. Second half felt slow paced and quite draggy. I just didn’t care about the whole wedding planning stuff. I did like Bobbi and Bunty as individuals and thought they had a lot of chemistry and their pairing was lovely. They could just be open and honest with each other.

I think the representation was excellent as well as all the food and the food descriptions like yess. Prem & Kareena remain my reigning favs. I’m excited for Veera’s story though.

A fun romcom, celebration of Indian culture and weddings. A little mystery, HEA. I liked the friend group a lot. The romance moved a little fast—they flipped from “hating” each other to insta-love pretty quickly, and were apart for a decent amount of the story.

I liked the backdrop of the shaadi saboteur and the respective conflicts Bobbi and Benjamin were having with their families. I think the big things for me that kept me from liking this as much as "Dating Dr. Dil" were 1) the dialogue felt a lot more stilted (although I listened to "Dr. Dil," so that may have influenced me) and 2) I felt that the pacing was off -- for example, I could have used more time to settle into Bobbi and Benjamin's relationship before they were pulled apart, and I really wished we could have seen more of the #Vermann wedding. I'm excited for the next installment!

I mean, the insta-love was insta-loving, but everything else was really fun. I really wanted so much more development on the couple and their relationship yet (though the author seems to be entirely aware, since so many charas in this one make fun of the main couple in the last volume, for getting together way too quickly).

Absolutely stunning, broke me out of a reading slump and everything.
