Holy hell. This was definitely my favorite book of this series so far.

Dani and Aiden are literally the perfect match. I loved what a bad ass, independent, big hearted woman Dani was. I thought Aiden was so charming, funny and supportive throughout this whole book.

*Warning* watch out for chapter 8. It will have you melted, on the floor from all of the heat packed in this chapter.

I literally hated Dani, I’m not sorry. Super spicy, very hot. I love Aiden he’s so sweet and must be protected.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
adventurous emotional funny reflective

Another spicy romance that starts with a hookup & I am here for it! Nikki Castle has knocked it out of the park for me with every book by her I read, & if you like spicy, I can’t recommend her books enough. 3 Count features Aiden & Dani, two young 20 somethings that are not looking for relationships, just the mutual pleasure they can give each other. Each has their own reasons for wanting to stay single & I loved watching their relationship mature as it turned from hookup to friends to lovers.

Also, HOLY SHIT - Chapter 8! I’ll be rereading that chapter many, many times in the future. No shame

ALC Review-Releases 11/18

Check January 23 for my full review for the initial read.

Dani and Aiden are both perfectly happy with their friends-with-benefits agreement they find themselves with.  Both have their own reasons for not wanting a real relationship either.  This lasts for months.  But months of being together even for sometimes quick encounters, leads to getting to know one another and that leads to feelings, even if they are small and both are possibly resistant to acknowledge those feelings.

I honestly love the way this light-hearted spicy story is sandwiched between 2 Fights and 1 Last Shot.  Those two are beautifully written with some broken and hurt characters.  3 Count fits perfectly in between to bring some levity.  Somehow I forgot the spice starting right away in chapter 2, because we all talk about chapter 8.  But all of it was so good.  Aiden.  Can.  Get.  It.

The narration.  Nikki put so much thought into these voices and she found the best ones.  Alex Kydd’s performance of Aiden was exactly that, a performance.  He chuckled, sighed, moaned, and grunted just the way we would imagine it happening.  Vanessa Moyen was the perfect Dani-not sweet, incredibly sassy, and a bad-ass FMC.

January 2023 Review:

Holy. Spice. The amount of times I had to message my friend to talk about the spice...Chapter 8 changed me. I had to set my kindle down and walk away too.

Aiden and Dani are sunshine/grumpy personified. Neither want a relationship for different reasons but man, do they want each other for benefits. Of course one of them wants this to change as they become more than friends.

I loved seeing Tristan, Remy, Hailey, and Jax again. Seeing the beginning of Isabella and Kane is such a teaser for book 4.

hey pretty boy…

You are not ready for Aiden and Dani. Honestly, I think I love Dani more than any other female lead, ever. Her fire for life and drive to be the powerful baddy that she is makes me want to be her when I grow up. And Aiden. Oh sweet Aiden. His confidence and go with the flow attitude is so fun. Together they are HOT. LIKE REALLY HOT. (Let’s take a moment of silence for chapter 8). I am torn between team Tristian and team Aiden. 10/10 recommend

Thank you Nikki for the ARC.

This book was *hot*hot*hot*
Nikki always writes fantastic spicy books, and this one did not disappoint

We meet Aiden in the previous fight books, so we know what he is like. A care free, goofy, god of a man.

We meet Dani in 2 Fights as this hot, take no prisoners woman. I love Dani as she knows what she wants and she doesn’t put up with anything.
I am always here for a strong FMC.

3 rounds timeline starts in the middle of 2 Fights to show the history of Aiden and Dani. Which is needed as their history starts off with a bang.
Literally

I loved so much about this book. The spice (obviously) but also this fun, friends with benefits trope. Sometimes with this trope there is always one side who says they can do the friends with benefits, but they aren’t being honest and actually love that other person. That is not the case in this book. Both are on the same page of a non-relationship commitment and it works
Of course until it doesn’t, but by then we are just yelling at them to give in already.

Another part I loved it the dialogue. I found there to be more of it and it was quick, easy, fun, flirty, banter. It was really fun to read. Like we were friends with them too.

I love Nikki’s Fight Game Series and this book fits so well with the other two.
This is a standalone, but as always, I highly recommend reading the other two.

Dani and Aiden have so much chemistry, but they both see love and relationships as a sacrifice they aren’t willing to make. Until one of them catches feelings… The story is spicy and fun to read. Dani’s hesitance was a little dragged out for me, but overall I really enjoyed this.
