3 Count is a friends with benefits story between college student/MMA fighter Aiden and photojournalist Dani. They have a cute meet and fun banter. I adored golden retriever Aiden, but Dani was not my favorite. She doesn’t want love, doesn’t want to sacrifice herself or change for marriage. Her way of thinking annoyed me.
This is a super spicy book. Especially chapter 8, which felt a little unnecessary.
Overall, I enjoyed the story, though.

I feel kind of like a broken record but I honestly don’t care. Nikki picked the perfect narrators for Dani and Aiden and I was obsessed with this audiobook from the first chapter. I’m newer to audiobooks and I’ve never listened to these two narrators before but I’m definitely going to look up their other work. But as for this audiobook they were hot, and chapter 8 was even hotter in audio then I thought possible. This one is definitely going to be one I will listen to again!!
Oh. My. God. This is by far the hottest couple Nikki has written to date. And now Aiden and Dani are my favorite couple, I love them! Their chemistry and banter is off the charts hot and Aiden’s filthy mouth is something else. Also, my new favorite nicknames are “Dirty Girl” and “Pretty Boy”.
Ok so I have a thing for side characters and Aiden was introduced in 5 Rounds, Nikki’s first book. I have loved Aiden since that book and my love for him grew in the second book 2 Fights. But I did not expect to love Dani as much as I do. She is the definition of bad***! She definitely knows how to keep Aiden in line.
Both do not want a relationship due to past relationships so they agree to friends with benefits. And holy hotness the spice in the book is some of the best I have read! Hello chapter 8!! Of course there is some drama close to the end but it wouldn’t be a Nikki Castle book without it, but I did not expect tears. My heart broken for Aiden, my golden retriever alpha male. But it was all happy by the end.
I 100% recommend this book to anyone who loves a good sports romance that is fun and spicy!!

There is something very refreshing about easy love. Not every love story needs to be heavy and intense. Sometimes it gets to be full of fun and levity. Enter Dani and Aiden. They are fuck buddies turn friends with benefits turn ??!! I love the joy in this book. They just enjoy being together. What more do you want from love? Also they are spicy little freaks and I love them for it.
I am living my best life listening to these books. I have read all of Nikki’s books with my eyeballs, but they are a whole new experience with my earballs.
The duet narration by Alex Kydd and Vanessa Moyen was so excellent. I even went back and listened to a couple scenes again because they were so good.

3⭐️- Loved Aiden. Not a fan of Dani and because of that it was probably my least favorite book of the series so far.
Another absolute knockout from Nikki! I am completely obsessed with Aiden and Dani. These characters are hilarious, sarcastic, fiery, and full of heart. From the glimpses we saw of Aiden in previous books, I just knew he was going to be a fantastic time, and he was.
Dani is fierce as heck, and really, I want her level of ambition in my life. She’s a girl who knows what she wants and goes after it. Just maybe not if that thing is attachment for a while there.
The chemistry between these two is unreal, you can really feel every minute Nikki put into getting her characters just right together. The amount of care and passion she puts into her books shows in every way.
This book may be spicier than the others in the series (I’m looking at you chapter eight) but it’s no less heartfelt and all consuming. I cried, I laughed, my heart broke, and I swooned.
Can’t wait to see what Nikki will give us next!

I literally hated Dani, I’m not sorry. Super spicy, very hot. I love Aiden he’s so sweet and must be protected.
