Didn't get into this book at all! I found it quite boring not much happens till the very end! There is not much conversations between the 2 main characters dahlia & river except for the I love you's, your beautiful perfect really etc etc once that is repeated umpteen times in the story you do get sick of it, the story is mostly about there thoughts and what they are thinking about one another.
I really thought this was going to be a good book by the reviews that it got but unfortunately it just wasn't for me :(

For him, she "pouts her lips" she is "beautiful", "perfect", "hot"
For her, he is "attractive", "charming", "sexy", "silly". The "silly" get on my nerves. Girl you are not in a Jane Austen's book, you are talking to a 26 years old man not a 7 years old.
They are 26 years old but when I read the book I read the dialogues of some horny teenagers.
She didn't ask the right questions, she wasn't even curious about Ben's behaviour the week everything happened. I mean come on, she knew him since she was 5 and she was ok with the weird Ben...
So yeah 2 stars, but i LOVED the end so i will read book #2

Wow... Just wow...I can't wait for book 2 I'm dying here hopefully it will be released earlier!!!
AMAZING!!! And that ending, Oh. My. God. I never expected that.... Can't wait for torn!!!
Prepare for an amazing read...but be sure to keep a box of tissues close! I'm excited for the next one to come out because there was a twist I didn't see coming and I just can't wait until she is confronted with the news.
I did not finish it. Got to 42% and then it sat for a few months. Had no desire to pick it back up. I bet you I can even guess the ending. Her fiancé that "died" really didn't die. He had to go undercover and blah, blah, blah.
I am really sad that I didn't like this book. It has the potential to be great. And maybe it was for others. It was a major fail for me.

**3.5**
I started this book listening to the audio version. The female narrator was awful. She kept swallowing loudly, at one point it sounded like she burped, or had a hiccup. (It was almost comical) She had this annoying ‘sexy or cute’ voice for the female character that sounded like a 14 year-old and was distracting. So I switched to the electronic book to finish it.
Dahlia has known Ben most of her life. They are sweethearts and attend the same college. Ben is kinda an ass. (But Dahlia doesn’t know that yet). She goes out to a club with a girlfriend and the lead singer of the band has an instant connection with Dahlia. She feels it too and runs away, so she won’t cheat on Ben. Years pass by, Dahlia and Ben are now engaged. He’s winning an award for journalism, they are on their way to the award show when something tragic happens.
Two years go by. As expected, Dahlia is a mess, a shell of the person she used to be. She agrees to help her friend with a magazine article and unbeknownst to her, the article is featuring the lead singer of the same band she saw in college. Ya know, the guy with the instant connection? River Wilde. River is one steamy, hunky, sensitive, perfectly perfect dude.
The middle of the story is kinda long and drawn out at this point. Nothing really happens until the 95% when the HUGE SPOILER is dropped. There were a few nuggets dropped a couple times, so I kinda expected what happened. Still on the fence about reading the next one despite the cliffhanger.

How could love at first sight even exist when you were already in love with someone else?I both liked and disliked this story. The idea of the plot is excellent, but the execution not so much. There was too much winking/smirking/giggling/pouting. And the sobbing, sheesh, this woman was tearing up, sobbing, or crying like 80% of the story.

“I swear I won’t stop until your legs are shaking and every hotel guest on this floor knows my name.”I mean, need I say more? River is right up there with some of my favorite book rock stars like, Jake Wethers from [b:The Mighty Storm|15724654|The Mighty Storm (The Storm, #1)|Samantha Towle|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1345793260l/15724654._SX50_.jpg|21400430] and Kellan Kyle from the [b:Thoughtless|13517535|Thoughtless (Thoughtless, #1)|S.C. A fun little Easter egg.

I am seriously glad I waited for Torn, book two, to come out. Like seriously What The? is up with that Epilogue.
The sex scenes in this book were just...WOW! River is certainly a charmer.
I loved all of the little details and the playlist.
Can't wait to get into book two and
