This might be the most weird and creepy book I've ever read, and I enjoyed (ew-ed) every single minute of it.
The two main things I really liked was how Molly became the way she was, and what happened to both of her boyfriends.
The level of suspense was unsettling but a great read nonetheless, glad I didn't read it at night.

I was super interested in the premise of this novella, but found the balance between atmosphere and substance to be a bit disappointing. The atmosphere is exquisite – Thompson has a gorgeous way with words that makes even body horror moments enjoyable to read... But there wasn't enough there-there for me as a reader. I'm intrigued to see that this is a series, but I'm not sure I was hooked enough to continue reading.

another good book to get out of a slump. the timeline confused me and i found the ‘why’ of everything underexplained and a little hokey, but a quick and compelling read overall.

Strange, violent, and immensely gripping, The Murders of Molly Southbourne turns a fascinating premise into a story that is at once violent and unsettling--but also a curious examination of identity, connection, and self-determination in a world that often does not make sense.

Didn’t work for me. I didn’t care for the writing, a lot of it felt extremely pretentious and annoying. I wanted to care about our main character but I couldn’t. Such a short book that took me way longer than I expected because of how boring I found it. Very interesting concept but it fell short in the end.

So good it left me with one question…why did it take me so long to finally read this book?!
