Weird but not anything more than a crime story. Not creepy or haunting or scary, sadly. I’m more intrigued by the men that Molly had “infected” than anything to do with her doubles. Does this mean I’ll be reading the rest of the series? Yeah, probably. But they aren’t a priority.

I’m gonna have to think on this one a bit before I rate it. It’s intriguing and engrossing, and somehow the bonkers premise works. But on the other hand, I decided pretty early into the book that the ending was going to be the make or break factor for it, and…I wasn’t particularly satisfied with the ending. I see there is a second book, so I may have to read that and see if I come to consider this book a prequel of sorts.

Most of the book reads like a summary - these are the important events that happened leading up to now; and we’re moving on… I feel like the emotional resonance could have benefited from a longer book, but there is something to be said about the break-neck pace of this book. It’s definitely never boring, but I just don’t feel satisfied by the conclusion…

I had a great time with this one! The only con is once I had put it down I had to force myself to pick it back up.

Wow. What s a surprising, fascinating story. A short read, but well worth it. I was left with a lot of questions but I’m not mad about it! I recently found out there will be a sequel and I’m very happy to get the chance to jump back into this world!

What an incredibly concept and flawless execution! I've been picking up novellas more and more over the past couple of years and am always impressed by the amount of story and character development that authors manage to pack into 200 pages, but the Murders of Molly Southbourne blew me away. Thrilling from start to finish, this book packs a huge punch and is so incredibly gripping. I loved reading Molly's story and cannot wait to see what happens next.

CW: murder, lots of blood, suicide, imprisonment
