There’s a lot of blood on these pages

My fav thing was in the author bio where it said he likes to bake deformed bread

A disturbing little speculative horror novella, about a girl who generates an identical doppleganger every time she bleeds (yes, including her monthlies). The doppleganger always eventually tries to murder her. So Molly has gotten very, very good at killing and disposing of the mollies who come for her.

It gave enough answers to be a standalone, but it's a trilogy so I'm interested to see where it goes. Molly is a bit of an icy cypher, but the plot moves quickly and the mystery of why Molly is the way that she is and the horror of having to routinely murder your reflection (and her parents having to kill something that looks like their daughter over and over again) is disturbing enough to keep the pages turning quickly.

I loved this. I jumped in with no knowledge of what it was about and that is 100% the way to go. I think this could have been a longer book and would love to see it as a tv series. I love the weird sci-fi element I didn’t know was in here and I actually like how little is revealed. Excellent

I liked the concept of this book and I liked how quick and punchy it was.
