When I read the synopsis the premise of this book caught me right away. A woman that every time she bleeds spawns an evil doppelgänger that wants to end with her life? I mean, come on who wouldn’t want to read this?
And OMG this novella is just great!
We follow Molly through all of her life and she has to learn how to deal with the “mollys” at the same time she has to deal with living a life and growing up.
And Tade Thompson does a hell of a work narrating this poor tortured soul’s life.
And so now, if Thompson writes everything with this quality, I want to read everything he had written so far and the new stuff, and I think that so should you.

"I wake into a universe defined by pain."
I LOVED this book. It's so strange and amazing and I kind of want to read it again. I checked this out from the library, and I will definitely be buying my own copy. I guess I would classify this as part horror, and part sci-fi. This is definitely a page-turner, and I think the characters were great. There are some good dark moments, and some heartbreaking ones as well. There are so many different intriguing plot points packed into this book, and I think it would be a great buddy read or book club book (for a group on the darker side). I'm so glad I picked up this book, and I hope to read more from Tade Thompson soon.

What a weird, creepy, creative horror novella. I read this in a single sitting and was absolutely fascinated (even while feeling queasy and unsettled). It actually reminds me of Burn Our Bodies down in many ways, though I think this was better executed (heh, no pun intended).
I’m intrigued and will definitely read this author’s work again!
Trigger warnings: murder, self-harm, body horror, gore, violence, animal death/violence

I actually have no idea what the point of the story was but it kept my interest enough to read in one sitting and it's easily one of the most bizarre books I've ever come across.
In short it's a novella about Molly, who's blood makes "other mollies". They are her, but they aren't. The mollies seek out our Molly and try to kill her. Countless times. It's fun.
The book is weird and completely out of my comfort zone. But it definitely was entertaining, although the content and reasons behind it were way too confusing for my little head.

This was a great novella that was a quick paced entertaining read. I was surprised with how drawn into the story I felt from such a short page count, but it's just a testimony to the fabulous plot. The entire premise is intriguing - our blood having a life of its own. It only became more fascinating as we sort of quick page through Molly's growing up process. She is a rare and unique character, burdened with some very sinister circumstances. I also liked that Thompson doesn't let us off the hook, doesn't make the ending less 'thrilling'. I would love to read a sequel of this, because the end left me hanging! Not in a cliff hanger sense, but in the sense that I wouldn't have minded if it was longer or anything. It was a cliff hanger in the sense of drama, leaving us at the pinnacle of suspense. This is a must read if the synopsis sounds like ANYTHING you'd want to read about!

This was gorey and bizarre and a really cool concept. I'm going to read the next book immediately.
