So many of the fractured fairytale approaches feature damsels, whether in distress or empowered. I love that this series begins with the Princes Charming, and while there're princesses, the ensemble cast is more diverse in appearance, attitude, and personality than you might normally see.
Plus, I found it funny.

This is a fun, clean, lighthearted fantasy read recommended for young fantasy fans.
The book took the familiar fairy tales, and gave a nice twist to each. I loved how all the frills and dresses were taken away, making it a great read for boys, too. There were memorable heroes and heroines, big villainous plots, and great friendships. As well as lots and lots of danger and many laughs.
This is a recommended read for young readers. Older readers might, at times, find the characters to be immature and absurd, though they will also enjoy many parts of it.

This book took me forever to read only because of the format. I still prefer paper books I can hold to electronic versions but I thought I would at least give it a try.
This book is a scrambled humorous telling of all the Prince Charmings. None of the princes are the 'typical' princes and all of them had flaws (some huge glaring flaws). I actually liked that because it showed the princes as real people (even annoying people) that eventually learned to work together. Instead of just arguing, they eventually learn to use their strengths to coordinate a plan to save the day.

Mixed feelings about this book. The writing style was entertaining, for sure. But for the first half of the book, most of the princes were so pathetic or ignorant--compared to the confident, level-headed women--that it seemed like the story was meant to make fun of men. The second half improved a little bit in that regard, so I was able to enjoy it more. I doubt I'll be picking up the sequel anytime soon, though.
