Ok--I rounded up from 3 to 4 stars for Logan. His and Ellie's story really takes place over five years, from when he first met her as a high school senior, staying behind to keep an eye on her while Olivia was in Wessco with Nicholas. It's cute watching Ellie crush on him and him trying not to break her heart, then struggling not to give in once she's old enough (around 20, while he is, I believe, 25?), because that would just complicate things all around and he'd feel like he let Nicholas down. The contrivances make sense, given their backgrounds and issues--Ellie struggling with a grieving alcoholic of a dad growing up, and Logan growing up with a family of criminals and dirtbags. The epilogue is sweet. Shane East gave him a stronger accent in the first book in the series to differentiate from Nicholas, and it kinda comes in and out here, which is a shame, as Shane is British and can do different regional accents. But he's still amazing to listen to.

There has been CHEMSITRY between Logan St James and Ellie Hammond since they met on the pages of [b:Royally Screwed|29991719|Royally Screwed (Royally, #1)|Emma Chase|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1463068765s/29991719.jpg|50395229]. This book has been anticipated. And it was good. I just didn't love it like I wanted too. Mostly because Ellie drove me crazy.

Giving five stars because it deserves it and because “happily ever after is meant for everyone, not just royalty.” Also, cannot reiterate enough DON'T JUDGE A BOOK BY IT’S COVER. This double entendre- correlates both for the book cover and the characters in the book. Lastly, if I could have kids their names would be: Declan, Nicholas, Lilibet & Amelia.

This book coverd probably 15 years of main characters lives, and listening to it took at least as long.

But seriously, kinda cute kinda annoying. I'm not fan of these "I have been loving you ever since you were teen" romances.
On the other hand, bodyguard romance, one of my favourite tropes! Yay for that

I was impatiently waiting for Ellie’s story. She has been a force if nature since the beginning. Her childhood has been tough but she’s always had her sister. Once her sister finds her HEA with a prince no less, Ellie has to decide what she wants.
Logan has always been intrigued by the beautiful girl with mermaid hair. He knows he can’t have her, he’s security after all but that doesn’t stop the want.
I knew these two would be an inferno when they finally ignited. Boy were they ever. I felt fit Logan and the changes in his life but I loved that Ellie didn’t let him off the hook.
Loved the epilogue and hope maybe Tommy gets a book too.
