Ooh this series hits all the right spots.
☑️ Monstrous Academy
☑️ Fated feral mates
☑️ Dark themes that are not for those who read trigger warnings
☑️ Rough sex scenes
☑️ Adorable fluffy companion animals
☑️ A support rooster named Eugene
☑️ Friend groups instead of mean girls
Can't wait to dive into book 2
There are some editing errors including a confusing mix up of character names that should have been caught by editors. However I am fully aware that sometimes these things get through self pub and indie books and I'm ok with that. I also understand that is not a sign of bad writing. When writing a novel there is a lot of cut and paste and changes to make characters work and sometimes insertions go wrong. I'm smart enough to understand what the author was trying to do and honestly it has nothing to do with the story.

Can I give this more stars?? There was so much happening in this book, it’s fast paced and the tension, oh god so much tension!
Ektaa gets better and better with every book!
With my life going down in literal flames I ran from everything: From my father, from a forced marriage, from my mates.
Now, charged with a crime I didn’t commit, they’re all hunting me. And they’re all furious.
The dangerous deputy headmaster of Animus Academy manages to catch me and along with three of my five mates (two are still a mystery) we’re taken back to the prison-school they use to teach feral beasts how to live alongside humans.
Now I’m locked up with the very men I’ve been trying to avoid all my life.
No one can know who my mates are. No one can know who I really am. Because if they do, it’s lights out for me. I’ll be chained and bred until I die.
And I refuse to allow that to happen.
This is the first book in a New Adult MFMMMM 5 book series where the heroine has five fated mate love interests that will form a bonded group. It is slow burn with 18+ spice starting from book 1. Each book has a cliffhanger ending but the series will finish with a HEA.
Tropes: fated mates, found family, hidden identity, hidden powers, slow burn

i cannot see how anyone is comparing this to the Bonds That Tie.
i spent this entire book in utter confusion. so much was going on all at the same time it was hard to focus on what was actually supposed to be important to the plot.
also, aurelia completely giving into her anima every single time she was with the guys was kind of annoying. she says she can’t have them and antagonizes them whenever she can but then falls all over herself when they get near her.
towards the end when she literally throws herself at savage saying “i need you” made zero sense to me. she runs to them when she needs help, even though she says she can’t trust them because they betrayed her.
all it would take is just some simple communication to have solved all of her problems instead of her outright antagonizing them. i mean she knows how they are, what they’ve done, but then she gets all butt hurt when they do/say those same things to her.
i’m finding it hard to like her, but im hoping that she will have some character growth in the next book.
side note: if i have to hear about her “weeping” womanhood one more time i actually might lose it myself
