Where do I start? This book is so terrible. I couldn’t get past the first few chapters. I really hate books that read like they’re written by a stroppy teenager who is trying to shock. It’s juvenile, boring and irritating. The writing doesn’t flow, the characters are flat and unrealistic and it felt chaotic. I absolutely hated it and hated that I had to give this book a star to write this review. It’s a big disappointment because I know some people thought this was cute and so I expected a great book. It was trash and I’m fed up I wasted my money on it. Shame on the publishers for allowing this to be marketed the way it was.

really enjoyed this book but WISH there were some spoilers attached at the beginning as i wasn’t prepared for the grief discussions around partner loss nor the transphobia within its pages.
this was a darker book than i initially expected it to be but good nonetheless. the characters grow (some for the worse) and a few twists/surprises leave you wondering what the hell could happen next.

Graphic: Transphobia and Grief
Moderate: Misogyny and Racism

I thought I'd really enjoy this book, but it was just okay. The concept was interesting, but the story and characters felt flat. However, I appreciated how it wove in contemporary social themes throughout the narrative. I don't think I'll continue the series.

Just couldn't get into it. Really wanted to like it. It picked up at the end, but the beginning to middle were really dragging.

I truly loved the incorporation of current social issues into the overall premise of this book. Inclusion is so important.
